A Morristown Scoop Series - Look how Morris Street in Morristown has changed over the decades.

Hardware or Bagels?
So many of you are going to remember this one: the hardware store on Morris street right across from the 🚉 train station? And if you look closely, you’ll see the famous Pete’s Tavern which many of us use to enjoy as the local dive bar and best spot in town for pizza 🍕 .
In the updated picture, you’ll see the blue frame and the doors leading to the upstairs apartments seem unchanged in the main building, although Morristown Bagels and Deli 🥯 have taken over the space. Mediterranean Grill has replaced Pete’s, and the 7-Eleven which was completed in early 2024 has taken over the corner lot where the Exxon gas station used to be.

Unfortunately I never had the chance to visit the old Hardware Store (can anyone provide the actual name of the store?). Pete’s was a place we frequented when a Friday night craving for pizza hit.
